ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE GRANDEST GLOVING GATHERING PRESENTED BY GLOVING'S GREATEST RESOURCE
The G3 is an in-person competition and gathering held to bring the gloving community together in the city that gave it life before it spread across the US and eventually the world.
This event is designed to run smoothly for competitors and center around the SPECTATORS of the event. After all, the most important part of a light show is the AUDIENCE (even if most of the time, it is an audience of one).
The structure is devised to be the most challenging single-day climb in competitive history. It is filled with specific details curated to bring out the best light shows in every competitor.
This is the only place to witness some of the best light shows ever performed under pressure.
The G3 contains unique and specific elements from our last event, 4KC, such as:
*Playlists for most of the rounds will be released 4+ weeks before the event allowing artists to prepare.
*Round 1, 2, 4 and 5 allow for 'redemption' (if you lose your match, you may still move onto the next round if you score high enough)
*Round 5 light shows will be to a live performance on stage by Box of Beats
*Round 6 and 7 feature three-way battles
*Round 6 and 7 glovers are allowed to choose their own light show recipient
For the first time in gloving history, a gloving competition will also feature an event centered around the LA Dance community and its various styles hosted by Animated J - more information to be announced
*Winner of each event will receive a championship title belt and cash prize.

1x 'Venue Entry General Admission' Ticket (blue square listed above)
1x 'Gloving Event Tournament Entry' Ticket (pink square listed above)
1x COVID Vaccine Card with a booster less than 6 months old (or) a negative COVID test matching your ID within the last 72 hours (rapid tests accepted) - This is subject to change based on the requirements of the venue and the city of Los Angeles

1ST BATCH 10x Entries - Went on sale 3.27.22 when 25 GA Tickets were sold
2ND BATCH 10x Entries - Went on sale 4/21/22 when 50 total GA Tickets were sold
3RD BATCH 8x Entries - Will go on sale once 100 total GA Tickets sold
4TH BATCH 8x Entries - Will go on sale once 150 GA Tickets sold

Event Structure
Just as we did for 4KC, 48 Glovers begin round 1 paired into one-on-one matches.
24 Winners move on and the 12 highest scoring losing shows ALSO move on by what we call 'REDEMPTION'
OPEN BRACKET ROUNDS:
Round 1 = 48 Glovers -> 24 Winners + 12 Redemption = 36 Glovers move on
Round 2 = 36 Glovers -> 18 Winners + 6 Redemption = 24 Glovers move on
Round 3 = 24 Glovers -> 12 Winners + ZERO REDEMPTION = 12 Survivors move on
CONTENDERS are past tournament champions who have accepted their invitation. The 12 Survivors will EACH be paired against one of the 12 contenders.
PLAYOFF ROUND:
24 Glovers = 12 Winners + 4 REDEMPTION = 16 Glovers move on
BUBBLE ROUND:
16 Glovers = 8 Winners + ONE FINAL REDEMPTION = 9 Glovers EARN PRIZES and move on
SEMI-FINAL ROUND:
9 glovers will be split into THREE GROUPS OF THREE.
Semi-final matches will have 3 judges per show.
Each Glover can earn up to 210 points for their light show
Glovers will face off in three-way Battles to determine each of the Three Finalists.
Glovers will each get to CHOOSE THEIR OWN LIGHT SHOW RECIPIENT for the Semi-Final Battle (Can not choose their opponents or judges for their match)
The winner of each 3-way battle moves on to the Grand Finals.
2nd and 3rd place are eliminated WITH PRIZES.
GRAND FINAL ROUND:
Three-Way Final Battle. Highest Scores Determines 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place
This Match will have SIX judges including at least one judge from each semi-final
Judge panel
We may also Include Special Guest NON-GLOVER Judges
Glovers can earn a total of 420 points (nice) for their Grand Finals Performance
Finalists will each get to CHOOSE THEIR OWN LIGHT SHOW RECIPIENT for their show (Can not choose their opponents or judges for their match)
Prize Structure
Top 9 Places receive cash and/or prizes
Championship title for the winner!

Dance Event Structure:
Prelims
20 Dancers are each given 1x 45second round in front of our panel of 5 all-star judges.
Judges are each given 1-2 categories to score that suits their specialty.
All categories will be chosen in a way that allow any style to compete and be compared fairly. (ANNOUNCED IN MAY)
Judges will all come from different styles
Playoffs
The top 4 scores move on to face Four guest battlers in an 8-dancer bracket via 1 on 1 matches.
Each dancer is given two 45second rounds.
All rounds will be judged by the same 5-judge panel.
Semi-Finals
4 Semi-finalists paired into 1 on 1 matches.
Each Dancer is given two 60second rounds.
Grand Finals
The winners face off in a head to head battle.
Each dancer is given three 60 second rounds
Dance Event Prize Structure
Top 4 Places will be paid cash. Championship title for the winner. More details to be announced.

**All individuals are subject to search upon entry into the event.
We are subject to the requirements of indoor events held in the city of Los Angeles. As of now, they have no specific requirements. We do ask that anyone who does not feel well on the day of to stay home or wear a mask just in case.
We reserve the right to check temperature of attendees upon arrival.
We will update this as requirements to hold an event in Los Angeles change.
Digital tickets for VENUE ENTRY will be sent out via email immediately after purchase.
If you can no longer attend and wish to sell/transfer your GENERAL ADMISSION ticket, you will find the access to do so in the email where you received your digital ticket.
Competitor tickets cannot be transferred. They are refunded + returned to the pool to be sold to the public if you can not attend after purchasing.
